About The Position

The Pharmacy Advocate Technician works in the Pharmacy department at Ascension St. Vincent Kokomo in Kokomo, Indiana. This part-time, day-schedule role supports pharmacy operations by maintaining automated dispensing systems, preparing orders and compounds, managing inventory and supplies, and serving as a liaison among the pharmacy, patients, and health professionals.

Requirements

• One or more of the following credentials must be obtained before the hire or job transfer date: Intern Pharmacist; Licensed Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Indiana Board of Pharmacy; In Training Pharmacy Tech; or Pharmacy Intern.
• High school diploma equivalency or one year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience. Required professional licensure or certification may be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association.
• Licensed Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).

Responsibilities

• Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.
• Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the Pharmacy department.
• Prepares sterile and non-sterile compounds.
• Repackages bulk medications.
• Receives and stores incoming supplies.
• Triages incoming calls and serves as a liaison between the pharmacy, patients, and health professionals by providing information.
