About The Position
The Pharmacist at MultiCare Cancer Institute ensures prompt and accurate pharmaceutical care for patients, nurses, and physicians. The role applies pharmacy knowledge and expertise to support quality health services and patient care in an oncology setting. The position is scheduled for day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The FTE is listed as “0_.”
Requirements
- Licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Washington.
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency is preferred.
- At least one year of pharmacy experience in a setting appropriate to the work assignment, such as a hospital, retail pharmacy, or clinic, is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Dispense medications to patients, interpret IV admixture orders, and prepare primary IV solutions.
- Manufacture nonstandard pharmaceutical preparations when required and maintain appropriate records.
- Supervise support personnel and take responsibility for the final check of completed work.
- Assist in inspecting pharmaceutical supplies across all services.
- Provide safe and accurate pharmaceutical care services.
