About The Position

The Pharmacist Specialty Services is a vital role within the MultiCare pharmacy department. Performing manipulative and non-discretionary functions, this position acts as a support system, providing guidance and education to patients and families.

Requirements

• Licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Washington.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of an ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency preferred.
• At least one year of pharmacy experience preferred in a setting appropriate to the work assignment, such as a hospital, retail, or clinic.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient outreach to ensure accurate and timely filling of specialty pharmaceuticals.
• Collaborate with clinic staff to connect patients with MultiCare Health System (MHS) specialty pharmacy resources.
• Process prior authorization requests from specialty clinics.
• Determine patient eligibility and enroll patients in copay assistance and medication assistance programs when appropriate.
