About The Position
The Pharmacist Infusion Specialty Services provides prompt and accurate pharmaceutical care to patients, nurses, and physicians at MultiCare Cancer Institute. The role applies pharmacy knowledge and expertise to support quality health services and patient care. MultiCare Cancer Institute is a physician-led, multi-specialty group within MultiCare Health System, providing integrated hematology, oncology, radiation, surgical, and supportive care across Washington state.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Washington.
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency.
- At least one year of pharmacy experience, preferably in a setting appropriate to the work assignment, such as a hospital, retail pharmacy, or clinic.
Responsibilities
- Dispense medications to patients, interpret IV admixture orders, and prepare primary IV solutions.
- Manufacture nonstandard pharmaceutical preparations when required and maintain appropriate records.
- Supervise support personnel and take responsibility for the final check of completed work.
- Assist in inspecting pharmaceutical supplies across services.
- Provide safe and accurate pharmaceutical care services.
