About The Position
The Pharmacist Infusion Specialty Services ensures prompt and accurate pharmaceutical care for patients, nurses, and physicians. The position supports quality health services and patient care by applying pharmacy knowledge and expertise in an infusion specialty setting.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Washington.
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency.
- At least one year of pharmacy experience, preferably in a setting appropriate to the work assignment, such as a hospital, retail, or clinic.
Responsibilities
- Dispense medications to patients, interpret IV admixture orders, and prepare primary IV solutions.
- Manufacture nonstandard pharmaceutical preparations when required and maintain appropriate records.
- Supervise support personnel and take responsibility for the final check of completed work.
- Assist in inspecting pharmaceutical supplies across all services.
- Provide safe and accurate pharmaceutical care services.
