About The Position

MultiCare Cancer Institute is a physician-led, multi-specialty group within MultiCare Health System, providing integrated hematology, oncology, radiation, surgical, and supportive care across Washington state. The Institute diagnoses and treats more than 6,000 new cancer cases each year and is growing its oncology network. The Pharmacist ensures prompt and accurate pharmaceutical care services for patients, nurses, and physicians. The role supports quality health services and patient care through medication dispensing, preparation of IV admixtures, supervision and final checking of support personnel’s work, and safe, accurate pharmaceutical care. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The listed pay scale is $68.30–$91.78 USD; pay is influenced by applicants’ skills, experience, certifications, and education. The position includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

Licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Washington.
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

Completion of an ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency.
At least one year of pharmacy experience in a setting appropriate to the work assignment, such as a hospital, retail pharmacy, or clinic.

Responsibilities

Dispense medications to patients and interpret IV admixture orders and prepare primary IV solutions.
Manufacture nonstandard pharmaceutical preparations when required and maintain appropriate records.
Supervise support personnel and assume responsibility for the final check of completed work.
Assist in inspecting pharmaceutical supplies across all services.
Provide safe and accurate pharmaceutical care services.
