About The Position

This is a travel pharmacist position for an inpatient setting at a surgery center in Tuba City, Arizona. The temporary assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on 09/21/2026. The role involves providing comprehensive pharmacy and medication management services to a diverse patient population, collaborating with the healthcare team, and ensuring medication safety. The position requires adaptability to rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Requirements

Current valid and unrestricted pharmacist license in a U.S. state or territory (or D.C.)
Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from a school recognized by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a registered pharmacist; minimum of one (1) year experience as a clinical pharmacist
Fingerprinting must be submitted and cleared prior to start
Ability to work in an inpatient/surgery center setting with rotating day/evening/night shifts and weekends

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive pharmacy and medication management services for inpatient and outpatient populations, including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, oncology, and obstetric patients, in a surgery center setting.
Review medication orders, verify dosages, counsel patients when appropriate, and ensure accurate dispensing and documentation in alignment with facility policies.
Collaborate with the interprofessional care team, participate in rounds as needed, and support direct clinical pharmacy services across inpatient and outpatient departments.
Promote medication safety, perform drug information duties, monitor for adverse events or drug interactions, and support formulary management and policy implementation.
Adapt to rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights) and weekend coverage, maintaining consistency with institutional standards and patient care quality.
