About The Position

The Pet Care Assistant spends time caring for and entertaining dogs staying at the facility. The role is suited to reliable people who enjoy working with pets and are available during the holiday season or potentially beyond. Schedules vary, with shifts between 6 AM and 10 PM lasting 4–6 hours. Weekend and holiday availability is required because those are peak times for pet care. Opportunities are available to advance to roles such as Pet Care Technician, Doggy Daycare, and Customer Service.

Requirements

• Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including walking dogs for several hours, bending, lifting 10–20 pounds, and pulling.
• Good concentration.
• Commitment to making animals comfortable and happy while their owners are away.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Availability during weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs individually using approved handling procedures.
• Supervise individual off-leash playtime with dogs.
• Assist with potty breaks for guests.
• Keep the walking trail clean and neat.
