About The Position

The Pet Care Assistant spends time entertaining and caring for dogs staying at the facility. The role is especially seeking reliable people available during the holiday season, with the possibility of continuing beyond that period. Schedules vary, with shifts lasting 4–6 hours and occurring between 6 AM and 10 PM. Weekend and holiday availability is required because these are peak times for pet care. Opportunities for advancement include promotion to roles such as Pet Care Technician, Doggy Daycare, and Customer Service.

Requirements

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including walking dogs for several hours, bending, lifting 10–20 pounds, and pulling.
• Good concentration.
• Commitment to making animals comfortable and happy while their owners are away.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Availability during weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs individually using approved handling procedures.
• Supervise individual off-leash playtime with dogs.
• Assist with potty breaks for guests.
• Keep the walking trail clean and neat.
