American Pest is hiring a Pest Control Service Technician to provide residential and commercial pest-control services throughout an assigned service area. Technicians manage their own routes, typically making 4–16 stops per day, and work independently while receiving support from their manager and local team. At each appointment, they inspect properties, identify pest activity and contributing conditions, perform treatments, document their work, and explain treatment expectations and prevention to customers. The role combines skilled trade work, customer service, and problem-solving. Previous pest-control experience is not required: the company provides paid training, assistance preparing for state certification exams, testing support, and continuing education. Technicians progress through Registered, Professional, Advanced, Senior, and Elite career levels. Pay is $21–$36 per hour based on experience and certifications; the top range is reserved for highly qualified technicians with multiple certifications, including the Associate Certified Entomologist credential, and the experience and KPI performance required for the highest level. Certified technicians receive quarterly development reviews. Advancement opportunities may include service management, branch management, residential or commercial sales, and other operational or leadership roles. The job is active and involves outdoor work in hot and cold weather, considerable driving, climbing ladders, and entering crawlspaces and other tight or hard-to-reach spaces. The schedule is generally Monday through Friday, with typical hours around 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; technicians must be available for a flexible schedule between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Occasional overtime and Saturday work are expected, especially during the busy summer season. Overtime is paid for hours worked over 40.
