Pest Control Service Technician
About The Position
Clancy Brothers Pest Control is hiring a Pest Management Professional to protect homes and businesses from pests throughout the Greater Boston Area. The position involves inspecting properties, identifying and treating pest infestations, and providing preventative solutions using industry-leading products and state-of-the-art technology. Technicians communicate with customers about treatments and prevention, document services, and coordinate efficient routes with the office. The company provides comprehensive hands-on training, including instruction in inspections, pest identification and treatment, customer education, product safety, route planning, equipment maintenance, and vehicle safety. Employees also participate in online training, ongoing education, and mentorship. Compensation is $22–$30 per hour, depending on experience, with bonus and commission opportunities. The role includes a company vehicle with take-home privileges and opportunities for career advancement.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
- Comfort working in various environments, including attics and basements.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in pest control, customer service, or fieldwork.
- Sales or upselling experience.
- Mechanical or technical skills for basic equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, pest treatments, and preventative services according to company standards.
- Explain treatments to customers, educate them about pest prevention, and address their concerns.
- Accurately document services, maintain regulatory compliance, and collect payments when necessary.
- Coordinate with the office to ensure efficient daily service routes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe company vehicle and tools.
- Participate in ongoing education and mentorship programs.
- Meet daily and monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
