Pest Control Service Rep
About The Position
Pest Control Service Representatives are front-line employees responsible for delivering Terminix pest control products and services to residential customers within an assigned territory. They travel to customer homes in a company-provided vehicle, perform scheduled pest treatments, respond to service requests, and identify opportunities to offer additional products and services. The role includes paid training and licensure, and offers commissions in addition to base compensation. Employees must be comfortable working outdoors and in confined spaces such as crawl spaces and attics. For safety reasons, facial hair is not permitted because respirators must seal to the face.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- Personable and enjoys interacting with customers.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Able to present information effectively to customers one-on-one and in small groups.
- Detail-oriented and understands the importance of safety.
- Aptitude for basic math, including calculations related to sales and service.
- Comfortable working outdoors and in confined spaces such as crawl spaces and attics.
- Must be able to be clean-shaven so respirators can seal to the face.
Nice To Haves
- Prior pest control industry experience is beneficial but not required.
Responsibilities
- Apply pesticides to structures according to schedules, safety procedures, and label instructions.
- Respond promptly to customer requests for telephone and in-person service calls.
- Call customers to confirm scheduled services.
- Identify and act on opportunities to sell additional Terminix products or services.
- Deliver Terminix services to residential customers within an assigned territory.
