About The Position

BAYADA Habilitation is hiring a Personal Support Assistant, working as a Habilitation Technician, to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in developing and maintaining independence in their local community. The role involves one-on-one companionship and support for a few hours a week, helping clients pursue their goals, interests, and everyday activities with dignity and respect. No prior experience is required. Positions are available in East Honolulu, Hawaii Kai, and Diamond Head, Oahu. Pay is $19 per hour and up based on experience, with weekly pay and a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age.
Passion for providing opportunities to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
Patience, empathy, and dedication.

Responsibilities

Build lasting one-on-one relationships with clients.
Spend time with clients pursuing their favorite hobbies and activities, including activities such as Special Olympics.
Support clients in developing independence and achieving goals such as budgeting, socializing, shopping, using public transportation, and exercising.
Attend to each individual's needs with dignity and respect.
Ensure client safety and well-being in the home and community.
