About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Support Specialist (PSS) to provide hands-on support to individuals in their homes, helping them maintain independence and a high quality of life. The role is suited to someone who is caring, dependable, and committed to making a difference in the lives of others.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as a Personal Support Specialist (PSS), or willingness to complete approved training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle the physical aspects of the job, such as lifting and bending.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license if travel is required.
• Must pass background checks and any other state-required screenings.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in home care, assisted living, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
• Perform light housekeeping, including meal preparation, laundry, and tidying living spaces.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with medication reminders as allowed by state regulations.
• Monitor and report changes in clients’ conditions or behavior.
• Follow care plans and accurately document daily activities.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures.
