About The Position
The Personal Shopper supports Sam's Club members by providing information about membership benefits, promoting company products and services, processing memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts, and participating in sales and marketing events to help meet membership goals. The role fulfills Member Fax n Pull and Click n Pull orders by reviewing orders, retrieving and scanning items, wrapping and palletizing orders, verifying order and invoice accuracy, securing items until members arrive, and following up on out-of-stock merchandise. The position provides member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, helping with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving concerns, and promoting company products and services. It maintains facility safety by following safety procedures and standards, conducting safety sweeps, following forklift-spotting and hazardous-material handling procedures, adhering to steel standards, and correcting or reporting unsafe situations. The role also completes assigned work by prioritizing tasks, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners, communicating progress, recommending improvements, and adapting to change and feedback. Associates are expected to follow company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity standards and to demonstrate the company’s values, including respect for individuals, integrity, customer service, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Provide information about membership benefits and promote company products and services.
- Process memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts; participate in sales and marketing events and work toward membership goals.
- Maintain facility safety by following safety standards and procedures, conducting safety sweeps, following forklift-spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials properly, following steel standards, and correcting or reporting unsafe conditions.
- Fulfill Member Fax n Pull and Click n Pull orders by reviewing orders, pulling and scanning items, wrapping and palletizing items, verifying order and invoice accuracy, securing items until members arrive, and following up on out-of-stock merchandise.
- Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues and concerns, and promoting products and services.
- Complete assignments and priorities using company policies, data, and resources; collaborate with relevant partners; communicate progress; recommend improvements; and adapt to change, difficulties, and feedback.
