About the position
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a pivotal role in the continuing development and evolution of a best-in-class servicing department. The CSR is responsible for assisting and servicing a variety of insurance products, providing information on complex customer service issues, and proactively solving any issues. They will collaborate across teams to deliver the best resolution and highest levels of customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will have industry experience in P&C Insurance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to frequent process and system updates.
Responsibilities
- Assist existing and potential agency clients with various servicing needs via phone, email, and SMS
- Interpret and analyze insurance policies, cancellations, reinstatements, endorsements, reports, and other insurance-related documents
- Collaborate with teams to provide the best resolution and highest levels of customer satisfaction
- Navigate multiple insurers' products and agent portals to efficiently service clients
- Utilize complicated software, such as CRM and in-house comp rater
- Have two to three years of P&C Insurance experience and hold a Property and Casualty or Personal Lines license
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality
- Take personal initiative, work efficiently, pay attention to detail, multitask, and meet deadlines with or without supervision
- Adapt quickly to process and system updates in a start-up environment
Requirements
- Two to three years of P&C Insurance experience
- Active Property and Casualty or Personal Lines license
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality
- Proven history of personal initiative, efficiency, attention to detail, and multi-tasking
- Ability to perform quality work within deadlines with or without supervision
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to quickly adapt to process and system updates
Benefits
- Base salary starting at $47.5k with automatic increase to $50k after 3 months
- Annual commission between $8k - $12k depending on performance, no cap
