About The Position

Preferred Care at Home of Virginia Beach is hiring Personal Care Assistants and Certified Nursing Assistants to provide in-home care to seniors in Hampton Roads, Virginia. The advertised assignment is a morning shift from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with full-time or part-time work depending on available assignments. Pay is $15–$17 per hour, based on experience and certification, with weekly direct deposit. The role provides one-on-one support to help clients remain safe and comfortable in their homes.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience.
• Current CNA certification or PCA credentials appropriate to the position.
• Valid driver's license and active car insurance.
• Reliable transportation.
• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional attitude.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to quality care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Provide medication reminders according to the client's care plan and agency policies.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment.
• Promote client dignity, independence, and overall well-being.
• Follow care plans and report changes in a client's condition to the appropriate supervisor.
