About The Position
The Personal Care Assistant/Caregiver provides one-on-one, non-medical services to seniors and adults with disabilities in their own homes, helping them with daily living activities and supporting their ability to age in place. The role serves clients in the New Castle, Wilmington, Newark, and Middletown areas. Care is provided with dignity, compassion, and care. Duties may include companionship, light cooking and cleaning, bathing, grooming, toileting, assistance with ambulation, medication reminders, and transportation to appointments and for errands.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience providing personal care.
- Proof of current TB testing.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Mature, caring, punctual, and reliable.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and fingerprint check.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one, non-medical care to seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes.
- Provide companionship.
- Assist with light cooking and cleaning.
- Assist clients with bathing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist clients with ambulation.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Transport clients to appointments and for errands.
