About The Position
Yours Truly Home Care & Nursing Inc. is hiring Personal Care Aides (PCAs) to provide one-on-one care to clients in their homes in South Hill, Virginia. Aides support clients with personalized care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role is presented as a meaningful opportunity to support clients and their families while developing caregiving skills. The company is a local, family-owned provider of home care and nursing services in the Greater Richmond area. The position offers full-time or part-time schedules in an in-home care setting. Scheduling options include morning, evening, and night shifts; 4-, 8-, or 10-hour shifts; and flexible weekend arrangements. Holiday shifts are available. Typical estimated gross weekly pay is $500–$850, with hourly pay of $12.77–$14.50 depending on qualifications, care complexity, and weekly hours. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate after 40 hours per week. Healthcare benefits are available after a waiting period, and advancement and professional development are encouraged.
Requirements
- PCA certification; free training is offered for candidates who are not certified.
- Valid driver’s license or ID and Social Security card or birth certificate.
- Must pass the State of Virginia background check.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Nice To Haves
- Prior caregiving experience in home care, residential care, or long-term care; experience is not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including grooming, bathing, toileting, and incontinence care.
- Respond promptly to client needs and requests for care.
- Prepare healthy, balanced meals according to clients’ dietary needs.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties.
- Provide medication reminders as directed.
- Complete required documentation, including timesheets, behavior logs, and incident reports.
- Promote a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment.
