Personal Care Aide (PCA)
About The Position
Interim HealthCare is hiring a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver in Loudoun County, Virginia. The role provides personalized, client-centered care to help seniors live safely at home. It offers flexible scheduling and work-life balance, with 1:1 aide-to-client ratios. Aides support clients with personal care, daily activities, mobility, meals, errands, companionship, medication reminders, and maintaining a safe home environment. The position also includes documenting clients’ conditions and notifying a supervisor of concerns, as well as engaging clients in enjoyable activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Active Personal Care Assistant (PCA) registration in Virginia.
- First Aid and CPR or BLS certification.
- Valid Virginia driver’s license, auto insurance, and transportation.
- Compassionate, helpful nature and good communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Six months of experience in a healthcare role is preferred.
- Overnight availability is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to seniors so they can live safely at home.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
- Help with ambulation, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises.
- Provide medication reminders, document clients’ conditions, and notify a supervisor of concerns.
- Maintain a safe home environment, including keeping pathways unobstructed.
- Engage clients in activities they enjoy, such as puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies.
