Personal Care Aide (PCA)
About The Position
Liberty Resources is a nonprofit human service agency providing residential and non-residential services to individuals and families. Its Center for Brain Injury and Rehabilitation supports people who have sustained a traumatic brain injury in achieving successful inclusion in their communities. Program services include service coordination and case management, independent living skills, a structured day program, positive behavioral intervention support services, community integration counseling, community transition services, and home and community support services. The Personal Care Aide assists clients and families with personal care and home management to help clients reach the highest level of functioning. The role provides services in a residential setting and carries out personal care tasks specified in each client's PCA care plan. Available shifts include evenings, overnights, and weekends in Cortland, New York. The stated pay rate is $18.65 per hour.
Requirements
- Currently certified Personal Care Aides are preferred.
- Complete training through a Certified Personal Care Aide Program approved by the New York State Department of Health. The program includes 40 hours of classroom and hands-on training and instruction demonstrating competency in activities of daily living and personal care assistance.

Responsibilities
- Assist clients and families with personal care and home management to support the highest level of functioning.
- Provide services to clients in a residential setting and perform personal care tasks specified in the PCA care plan.
- Provide instruction, supervision, and/or attendant care for activities of daily living, including toileting, feeding, personal hygiene, housekeeping, and self-administration of medication.
- Maintain and update required records and documents for services provided.
