About The Position

UniversaCare is hiring a Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide care to clients in their own homes in Nassau County. This is a field position where you will travel to clients' homes. Hiring, onboarding, and support are handled by the UniversaCare of Nassau office. The pay rate ranges from $19.65 to $25 per hour, with the starting rate being New York's home health aide minimum wage, which increases annually. Both part-time and full-time schedules are available.

Requirements

• Completed New York Personal Care Aide training, or a New York HHA certificate
• Eligibility to work in the United States
• Completion of the background check and health screening required for the role

Responsibilities

• Help clients with bathing, dressing, grooming and daily routines
• Prepare meals and do light housekeeping, laundry and shopping
• Keep clients company and help them stay safe at home
• Follow each client’s plan of care and report changes to your supervisor
