About The Position

UniversaCare is hiring a home health aide to provide care to clients in their own homes in Nassau County. This is a field position where you will travel to clients’ homes, not work in an office. Hiring, onboarding, and support are handled by our UniversaCare of Nassau office. The pay rate ranges from $19.65 to $25 per hour, with the starting rate being New York's home health aide minimum wage, which increases annually. This position offers both part-time and full-time schedules.

Requirements

• A current New York State Home Health Aide certificate
• Eligibility to work in the United States
• Completion of the background check and health screening required for the role

Responsibilities

• Help clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and moving safely around the home
• Prepare meals and help clients eat
• Keep the home clean and safe, including light housekeeping and laundry
• Follow each client’s plan of care and report changes to your nurse supervisor
