About The Position

UniversaCare is hiring a homemaker and companion to provide care to clients in their own homes in Nassau County. This is a field position where you will travel to clients' homes. Hiring, onboarding, and support are handled by the UniversaCare of Nassau office. The pay rate is $19.65 to $25 per hour, with the starting rate being New York's home health aide minimum wage, which increases annually. This position offers both part-time and full-time schedules.

Requirements

• A caring attitude and reliability

• Completion of the background check and health screening required for the role

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship, conversation and activities
• Prepare meals, do light housekeeping and laundry
• Run errands and go with clients to appointments
• Help clients keep a safe, steady daily routine
