About The Position
Interim HealthCare is hiring a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver to provide personalized, home-based care to seniors who need help with daily activities. The role supports clients in living safely at home and includes personal care, household assistance, mobility support, medication reminders, and companionship. The position offers a $17.00 hourly wage, a $200 sign-on bonus, 1:1 aide-to-client ratios, and the ability to set your own schedule. Interim HealthCare may assist with obtaining PCA certification.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Active Georgia PCA certificate; Interim HealthCare can assist with certification.
- Current hands-on CPR/First Aid certification.
- Current TB screening.
- Valid Georgia driver’s license, auto insurance, and transportation.
- Compassionate, helpful nature and good communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience in a healthcare role is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support that helps seniors live safely at home.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
- Assist clients with ambulation, transferring, and range-of-motion exercises.
- Provide medication reminders, document clients’ conditions, and notify a supervisor of concerns.
- Maintain a safe home environment, including keeping pathways unobstructed.
- Participate in activities clients enjoy, such as puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies.
