About The Position
Elara Caring is hiring a Personal Care Aide to provide in-home support that improves clients’ quality of life and offers comfort, dignity, and assistance. The role includes personal care, help with daily activities, household tasks, companionship, and support with errands or transportation when applicable. Schedule growth and weekly hours may vary based on availability.
Requirements
- HHA certification and/or valid CNA certification from the State of Massachusetts.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable personal transportation to travel to client homes.
- Ability to lift, stand, bend, and assist clients as needed, up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Experience providing care to elderly or disabled individuals, through professional or personal experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene assistance.
- Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.
- Perform housekeeping, laundry, and other household tasks.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with errands, grocery shopping, and transportation to appointments when applicable.
- Promote a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for each client.
