About The Position

A Personal Banker I maintains and builds customer relationships by using a consultative sales process to proactively provide solutions that help new and existing customers achieve their financial goals. The role also provides sales, service, and operational support to the retail banking team and demonstrates Civista Bank’s mission to improve the financial lives of employees and shareholders and make a difference in the communities it serves.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of previous teller experience required.
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to work under deadlines and frequent interruptions.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Above-average knowledge of technology and willingness to adapt to new software technologies.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers daily to build relationships by processing transactions, assessing needs, recommending products, referring customers to partners, and creating an exceptional customer experience.
• Develop knowledge of products and services to fulfill customer needs; open new accounts, perform maintenance, meet cross-sell goals, and solve problems.
• Pursue daily personal growth through active learning and adapt to new procedures and systems.
• Ensure operational tasks are followed and completed daily.
• Execute customer requests with speed and accuracy.
• Maintain cash levels and outages within established guidelines.
• Communicate consistently with internal and external contacts.
• Follow regulations, policies, and procedures to protect the safety and soundness of customers and the bank.
• Encourage and support the use of technology in everyday banking interactions, including teaching customers to use technology, mobile banking, P2P, and online banking.
