About The Position

This role directs and coordinates store operations in the absence of the Store Director, Assistant Store Director, or other management. The goal is to achieve efficient and economical operations and ensure associates’ work shifts contribute to the store’s financial interests. The role also completes other duties as assigned in a timely manner. The position may involve working in other departments to support customer experience needs. The work takes place in a typical retail store environment with varied temperatures and possible exposure to outside weather conditions. Noise levels are usually low to moderate, and travel requirements vary by assignment.

Requirements

High school diploma preferred.
One year of retail or related experience preferred.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
Basic mathematical skills.
Suggestive selling and product knowledge.
Detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

Monitor associates’ adherence to company policies.
Operate the cashier register and courtesy counter desk, and handle customer concerns efficiently.
Know the store layout and the locations of safety and emergency equipment.
Conduct regular inspections of all areas and provide feedback to department managers.
Maintain the time clock in the absence of the Store Director or specified department manager.
When assigned to close the store, lock all doors, including receiving, turn off lights, and arm the store.
Know product locations to assist customers.
Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked store.
Follow PPE and safety guidelines.
Follow food safety and cleaning expectations.
Follow guest experience guidelines.
Perform tasks in other departments as assigned based on customer experience needs.
Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
