About The Position

The Person In Charge directs and coordinates store operations when the Store Director, Assistant Store Director, or other management is absent. The role supports efficient and economical operations and helps ensure that associates’ work shifts contribute to the store’s financial interests. The position may also perform other assigned duties in a timely manner. The work is performed in a typical retail store environment with varied temperatures and occasional exposure to outside weather conditions. Travel requirements vary by assignment.

Requirements

High school diploma preferred.
One year of retail or related experience preferred.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
Basic mathematical skills.
Suggestive selling and product knowledge.
Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Monitor associates’ adherence to company policies.
Operate the cashier register and courtesy counter desk, and handle customer concerns efficiently.
Know the store layout and the locations of safety and emergency equipment.
Conduct regular inspections of all areas and provide feedback to department managers.
Maintain the time clock when the Store Director or specified department manager is absent.
When assigned to close the store, secure doors, including receiving, turn off lights, and arm the store.
Know product locations to assist customers.
Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked store.
Follow PPE and safety guidelines.
Follow food safety and cleaning expectations.
Follow guest experience guidelines.
Perform tasks in other departments as needed to support customer experience.
Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
