About The Position
The Person in Charge directs and coordinates store operations when the Store Director, Assistant Store Director, or other management is absent. The role helps ensure efficient and economical operations and that associates’ work contributes to the store’s financial interests. The position may also perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma preferred.
- One year of retail or related experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Suggestive selling and product knowledge.
- Detail-oriented.

Responsibilities
- Monitor associates’ adherence to company policies.
- Operate the cashier register and courtesy counter desk and address customer concerns efficiently.
- Know the store layout and locations of safety and emergency equipment.
- Inspect store areas regularly and provide feedback to department managers.
- Maintain the time clock when the Store Director or specified department manager is absent.
- Close the store when assigned, including locking doors, turning off lights, and arming the store.
- Know product locations to assist customers.
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked store.
- Follow PPE and safety guidelines, food safety and cleaning expectations, and guest experience guidelines.
- Perform tasks in other departments as needed to support customer experience.
- Complete other assigned responsibilities in a timely manner.
