PIC (Internal Only)

Bi-Mart Corporation•Port Orchard, WA

About The Position

The Person in Charge (PIC) is a secondary work assignment for which eligible employees must apply and be selected. Only a current Area Coordinator, CSM, or Department Manager at the location is eligible. The employee’s schedule will alternate between their current role and PIC duties. When not scheduled as a PIC, PIC responsibilities default to the store management team, and the employee resumes their current role. When scheduled, the PIC performs opening and closing routines, including bank deposits and receipt of shipments, and interprets and disseminates company directives while serving as manager on duty. The PIC supports profitable store operations by controlling expenses, maintaining in-stock basics, applying personnel practices and company policies, keeping the store clean and in good repair, solving problems, controlling liabilities, protecting company assets, and supporting employee morale and customer satisfaction. The position pays an additional $2.00 per hour while scheduled as a PIC. The PIC reports to the Store Manager and coordinates with store management, the district manager, the senior vice president of store operations, area coordinators, hourly clerks and cashiers, and administrative office staff.
