About The Position

Packz is hiring a hands-on Performance Marketing Lead to own the company’s paid media stack and a nine-figure annual advertising budget. The role reports directly to the CEO and covers buying across Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, and DSPs. The lead will manage campaigns directly, make budget-allocation decisions, build a high-volume creative testing program, and shape paid strategy, measurement, and channel expansion. Packz has internal systems that automate parts of ad launching, with engineering support to extend its automation and reporting.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of hands-on direct-response media buying experience, including mobile app campaigns at scale.
  • Deep expertise in Meta and TikTok advertising.
  • Experience running high-volume creative tests and scaling winning ads.
  • Experience owning a large paid budget across multiple channels and allocating spend based on results.
  • Strong command of unit economics and performance measurement.
  • Good judgment about when ads or channels have enough data to scale, need more testing, or should stop.
  • Comfort using AI tools for performance analysis and finding faster ways to work.
  • Strong organization to manage hundreds of live ads across multiple platforms, with precision in campaign launches.
  • Ability to explain results plainly and turn them into clear recommendations for creative teams.
  • Comfort working with high ownership and little structure at a fast-moving startup.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience running Snapchat, X, Apple Search Ads, and DSPs or app networks such as Moloco, AppLovin, or Google App Campaigns.
  • Experience with web-to-app funnels.
  • Experience buying in policy-sensitive categories such as gaming, fintech, or real-money products.
  • Experience launching new paid channels from zero.
  • Experience using platform APIs or automation to launch and manage ads at scale.
  • Interest in collectibles, trading cards, sports, or gaming.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deploy the nine-figure annual paid media budget, reallocating spend across channels based on performance.
  • Set performance goals with the CEO and report progress against them.
  • Design tests for new channels, assess results, and decide whether to scale or stop them.
  • Manage advertising platforms day to day across campaigns and channels.
  • Build a repeatable creative testing framework, including test budgets, decision thresholds, and next steps for results.
  • Launch ads at high volume with accurate setup, tracking, and targeting.
  • Decide when ads have sufficient spend and conversions to scale, continue testing, or be turned off; promptly cut losing ads and increase spend on winners.
  • Review each campaign launch for copy, links, tracking, placements, targeting, and creative assets.
  • Maintain a clear record of tests, results, and future testing opportunities.
  • Own the attribution setup and rules for crediting installs and signups across platforms.
  • Assess each channel’s actual contribution beyond platform-reported results.
  • Use AI tools to identify performance patterns and inform decisions.
  • Give the creative team specific, data-backed direction on effective hooks, formats, angles, concepts, and future creative.
  • Manage ad-policy approvals and appeals with platforms in partnership with the legal team.
  • Partner with engineering to improve ad-launch automation and reporting.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity.
  • Healthcare, vision, and dental benefits.
  • 401(k).
  • $30 of DoorDash credit each for lunch and dinner every workday.
