About The Position

The Performance Fitter conducts product fitting events, provides a positive customer experience from start to finish, and builds enthusiasm for Callaway Golf and Odyssey products. The role may be performed alongside an Outside Sales Representative (OSR) or independently as directed by the OSR. At customer-sponsored events, the Performance Fitter educates consumers about product features, advantages, and benefits, conducts fittings, and provides personalized product specifications. The role also involves setting up and taking down displays and equipment.

This is a part-time, seasonal position with a varied schedule. The fitter must be available for scheduled weekdays and weekends during the golf season in the assigned territory. A typical event lasts five to six hours on a Saturday or Sunday. The work is primarily outdoors and involves frequent travel within the territory, occasional travel to surrounding territories, and occasional travel to events and trade shows.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to learn product characteristics and distinguish company product features, benefits, and fitting concepts.
• Ability to present technical ideas and facts to diverse consumer and customer audiences in a manner consistent with Callaway standards.
• Excellent customer service, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
• Ability to influence situations and people positively.
• Demonstrated leadership and professionalism.
• Valid driver's license and proper insurance for the resident state.
• Driver's record must meet the company's authorized driver criteria.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, typically product and equipment.
• Availability to work scheduled weekdays and weekends during the golf season.

Nice To Haves

• Golf knowledge, golf club fitting knowledge, and experience using a launch monitor.
• Understanding of the retail golf business, including green-grass or off-course retail.
• Knowledge of past Callaway products.
• Geographic knowledge of the assigned territory.
• One year of successful retail or golf-shop selling experience.
• Golf club fitting experience.
• A vehicle large enough to carry 15–20 golf bags and display tents; an SUV or minivan is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support customer event goals and deliver an outstanding consumer experience.
• Set up and take down displays and equipment, following Callaway's product-fitting setup protocol.
• Ensure fitting carts, tents, wind blades, and table skirts are present, presentable, and up to date at each event.
• Inventory and update the Fit Cart.
• Communicate the advantages of the full line of Callaway Golf products to consumers.
• Conduct customer fittings using Callaway's fitting protocol, a launch monitor, and other provided tools.
• Run and train on the Odyssey Fits Tool and apply selling techniques.
• Provide consumers with personalized product specifications.
• Communicate event accomplishments and challenges to the OSR and share and solicit lessons learned.
