About The Position

The Performance Fitter conducts product fitting events and supports a positive consumer experience from setup through teardown. The role builds enthusiasm for Callaway Golf and Odyssey products, educates consumers about product features and benefits, and conducts fittings using Callaway’s fitting protocol and provided tools. The fitter may work alongside an Outside Sales Representative (OSR) or independently as directed by the OSR. This is a part-time, seasonal position with a varied schedule. The fitter must be available for scheduled weekdays and weekends during the golf season in the assigned territory. Typical event days last 5–6 hours and take place on a Saturday or Sunday. The role involves frequent travel within the territory, occasional travel to surrounding territories, and occasional travel outside the territory for events and trade shows. The posted pay range is $16.50–$20.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Able to learn company product characteristics, distinguish product features and benefits, and learn fitting concepts.
Able to present technical ideas and facts to a diverse audience of consumers and customers.
Present information in a manner consistent with Callaway standards.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to influence situations and people in a positive manner.
Demonstrated leadership and professionalism.
Maintain a valid driver’s license and proper insurance for the resident state; driving record must meet company authorized-driver criteria.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
Availability for scheduled weekdays, including weekends during the golf season in the assigned territory.
Frequent travel within the territory, occasional travel to surrounding territories, and occasional travel outside the territory for events and trade shows.

Nice To Haves

Golf knowledge, golf club fitting knowledge, and experience using a launch monitor.
Understanding of the retail golf business, including green-grass or off-course retail.
Knowledge of past Callaway products.
Geographic knowledge of the territory.
One year of successful retail or golf-shop selling experience.
Golf club fitting experience.
A vehicle large enough to carry 15–20 golf bags and display tents; an SUV or minivan is preferred.

Responsibilities

Support customer event goals and deliver an outstanding consumer experience.
Set up and take down displays and equipment, following Callaway’s Product Fitting protocol and fitting-process standards.
Ensure fitting carts, tents, wind blades, and table skirts are present, presentable, and up to date at each event.
Inventory and update the Fit Cart.
Communicate the advantages of the full line of Callaway Golf products to consumers.
Conduct customer fittings using Callaway’s fitting protocol, a launch monitor, and other provided tools.
Run and train on the Odyssey Fits Tool and apply selling techniques.
Provide personalized product specifications to consumers.
Communicate accomplishments and challenges to the OSR and share and solicit lessons learned from events.
Educate consumers at customer-sponsored events about Callaway Golf and Odyssey product features, advantages, and benefits.
