About The Position

The Performance Fitter conducts golf product fitting events and supports a positive customer experience from setup through event close. The role builds consumer enthusiasm for Callaway Golf and Odyssey products by explaining their features, advantages, and benefits, conducting fittings, and providing personalized product specifications. The fitter may work alongside an Outside Sales Representative (OSR) or independently as directed by the OSR.

This is a part-time, seasonal position with a varied schedule. The fitter must be available for scheduled weekdays and weekends during the golf season in the assigned territory. A typical event lasts 5–6 hours on a Saturday or Sunday. The role involves frequent travel within the territory, occasional travel to surrounding territories, and occasional travel to events and trade shows outside the territory. The work is primarily outdoors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to learn product characteristics and distinguish product features, benefits, and fitting concepts.
• Ability to present technical ideas and facts to diverse consumer and customer audiences in a manner consistent with Callaway standards.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to influence situations and people positively.
• Demonstrated leadership and professionalism.
• Valid driver’s license and proper insurance for the resident state.
• Driving record must meet the company’s authorized-driver criteria.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, typically products and equipment.
• Availability to work scheduled weekdays and weekends during the golf season.

Nice To Haves

• Golf knowledge, golf club-fitting knowledge, and experience using a launch monitor.
• Understanding of the retail golf business, either green grass or off-course.
• Knowledge of past Callaway products.
• Geographic knowledge of the territory.
• One year of successful retail or golf-shop selling experience.
• Golf club-fitting experience.
• A vehicle large enough to carry 15–20 golf bags and display tents; an SUV or minivan is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support customer event goals and deliver an outstanding consumer experience.
• Set up and take down event displays and equipment according to Callaway’s product-fitting protocol.
• Ensure fitting carts, tents, wind blades, and table skirts are present, presentable, and up to date at each event.
• Inventory and update the Fit Cart.
• Communicate the advantages of the full line of Callaway Golf products to consumers.
• Conduct customer fittings using Callaway’s fitting protocol, a launch monitor, and other provided tools.
• Run and train on the Odyssey Fits Tool and apply selling techniques.
• Provide personalized product specifications to consumers.
• Communicate accomplishments and challenges to the OSR and share and solicit lessons learned from events.
