About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care’s Willow Grove Pediatric Office is seeking a Registered Nurse with a passion for pediatric care to join its Skilled Nursing team. The position provides private duty nursing for pediatric clients in Glenside, Elkins Park, and Stenton, Philadelphia. Day and overnight shifts are available. Clients may have complex medical needs, including respiratory support, feeding tubes, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and other chronic conditions.

Private duty nursing involves traditional shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours, hands-on care for one client per day, and the opportunity to build relationships with clients and observe their milestones. Nurses travel to one nearby client on a schedule they choose, follow and document doctors’ orders, conduct assessments, monitor clients’ conditions, document observations, interventions, and evaluations, and report changes to the Clinical Manager and physician. Nurses are empowered to perform skills autonomously in the home.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited and approved nursing program, as indicated by a school transcript or diploma.
• A current nursing license in good standing in the state.

Responsibilities

• Travel to one nearby client according to a chosen schedule.
• Follow up on, execute, and properly document doctors’ orders.
• Perform assessments and monitor clients’ conditions.
• Document observations, interventions, and evaluations.
• Report changes in a client’s condition to the Clinical Manager and physician.
• Provide hands-on, one-to-one nursing care in the client’s home.
• Perform nursing skills autonomously in the home.
