About The Position

Hands of Hope, Georgia Hospice Care’s pediatric program, is seeking a Pediatric Registered Nurse to provide care for children managing life-limiting illnesses through home-based palliative care and concurrent hospice care. The nurse evaluates patients, develops care plans, and communicates with patients, families, and the care team to help ensure quality care and meaningful patient experiences. The role is supported by a leadership team and offers professional development opportunities and room for advancement.

Requirements

• A heart to serve patients and families and a passion for providing the best possible care.
• Graduate of an accredited certificate, diploma, associate, or baccalaureate school of nursing.
• Current state license as a registered nurse.
• At least 3 years of experience as a nurse in a clinical care setting or home health environment.
• At least 1 year of pediatric experience.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move intermittently.
• Ability to lift at least 80–100 pounds and bear the weight of an average adult effectively.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients.
• Create patient care plans.
• Communicate with patients, their families, and the care team.
• Help coordinate the care team to ensure patients receive quality care.
