Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatric ER
About The Position
The Registered Nurse will use critical-thinking skills to coordinate and provide safe, quality care to patients. The nurse will use the nursing process—including triage, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—and assist in organizing patient care activities as assigned. The role is in the Pediatric ER and has a rotating shift. The posting offers qualified candidates a signing bonus of up to $15,000, paid over 24 months. St. Mary's Medical Center is a 420-bed acute care hospital in West Palm Beach and part of the Palm Beach Health Network. It is a Level 1 Trauma Center, a state-designated Pediatric Trauma Referral Center, a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, and has a Level III NICU. Pediatric services are provided at Palm Beach Children's Hospital at St. Mary's Medical Center, described as the only dedicated children's hospital between Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, with 24/7 dedicated pediatric emergency and trauma care.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Registered Nurse program.
- Florida Registered Nurse license.
- BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- CPI certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- PALS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- TNCC: inexperienced nurses must obtain it within 2 years of hire or transfer; experienced nurses must obtain it within 1 year of hire or transfer.
