The Medical Assistant is a member of the patient-centered medical care team and is responsible for working with providers, nurses, and other front office staff to prepare patients efficiently and ensure a smooth workflow.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Successful completion of a Medical Assistant program (diploma) from an accredited school or be certified as a medical assistant with one year of experience
Basic Life Support Certification
Thorough knowledge of medical terminology and relevant procedures
Excellent written, electronic, and oral communication skills
Above average critical thinking and problem-solving skills
