Pediatric Dental Hygienist
About The Position
Thrive Orthodontics is seeking a Pediatric Dental Hygienist to deliver a positive clinical experience to patients while adhering to company policies and applicable state dental laws, rules, and regulations under the direction and supervision of a Dentist. The role includes preventive dental care, patient screening and education, clinical documentation, dental imaging, and instrument sterilization. The listed pay range is $36.00–$49.50, negotiable. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current state hygiene license.
- Current CPR certificate.
- Current Hepatitis B vaccination.
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with patients and coworkers.
- Ability to prioritize patient care, manage full schedules, and multitask.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Establish trusting rapport with patients and deliver a positive patient experience.
- Screen patients during checkups.
- Clean accretions, calcareous deposits, and stains from teeth and gums.
- Examine patients for indications of oral cancer.
- Review patients’ dental and medical histories.
- Maintain patient charts and accurately transcribe doctor notes.
- Recommend care to improve patients’ oral health.
- Perform preventive dental care.
- Apply fluoride treatments.
- Take dental X-rays and review them for signs of dental diseases.
- Sterilize and prepare dental instruments.
- Follow company policies and state dental laws, rules, and regulations under the direction and supervision of a Dentist.
