About The Position

Pediatric Dentistry of Kingston is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and energetic part-time Dental Hygienist to care for children and families at its practice in Kingston, New York. The role focuses on preventive dental care, oral-health education, and creating a safe, welcoming clinical environment for pediatric patients. The position is scheduled for two days per week, Mondays and Wednesdays, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility available. Occasional travel to nearby offices may be requested. Hourly pay is $58–$65, based on experience.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene.
• Valid New York State Dental Hygienist License.
• Excellent communication and patient rapport skills.
• Team-oriented approach and a cheerful, professional attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Pediatric dental experience.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleanings and fluoride treatments, and apply sealants.
• Conduct oral-health assessments and screenings.
• Educate children and families about proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
• Accurately record patient medical and dental histories.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and kid-friendly clinical environment.
• Collaborate with dentists, dental assistants, and front office staff.
• Provide occasional front desk support as needed.
