The Payroll Representative processes and maintains payroll and timekeeping functions. Provides professional payroll expertise. This role primarily maintains and prepares payroll data, and completes and settles multiple bi-weekly and semi-monthly timekeeping and pay cycles. Assists employees and functional area supervisors with payroll and time and attendance inquiries, utilizing Human Resources/Payroll (HRP) timekeeping systems. Performs a wide variety of payroll processes, employee, and record archiving activities. Computes wage and overtime payments. Administers and processes voluntary and involuntary employee payroll deductions to include: core product offerings, levies, garnishments and child support. Processes off-cycle demand pay check requests per policy. Extensive knowledge of payroll and timekeeping systems. Has extended knowledge of state, federal and local regulations for overtime, income tax withholdings. Knowledge of inclusion/exclusion for appropriate taxation of earnings and deductions. Reconciles and makes payment disbursement for payroll expenditures and group insurance billings. Provides professional payroll expertise and excellent customer service. Tracks work and project related tasks in service management technology. Collaborates with Human Resources partners to resolve employee issues and maintain data accuracy and integrity. Familiarity with the impact of collective bargaining agreements on payroll and timekeeping solutions. Ability to effectively communicate to employees and all levels of management, both verbally and written.
