About The Position

Hotels Unlimited has an exciting opening to join our Payroll and Human Resources team in the corporate offices located near Exit 8 of the New Jersey Turnpike. This is a fast paced, full-time position. This is an opportunity to join a successful, well-established, family-owned business that is growing by leaps and bounds.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (required).
  • Working knowledge of standard payroll practices and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be punctual, responsible, dependable and reliable.
  • Ability to effortlessly switch gears at a moment’s notice and wear many hats.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a high paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and assist co-workers when required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within the hospitality industry and with multiple companies (strong plus).
  • Prior hotel/restaurant experience and understanding of tips/service charge declarations, sharing, paid outs, etc. (strong plus).
  • Experience with computerized accounting software (strong plus).
  • Experience with Paylocity, or similar payroll processing software (strong plus).

Responsibilities

  • Process and record payroll for multiple properties
  • Manage workflow to ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate reports prior to posting into the accounting software.
  • Reconcile quarterly and year-end PR tax reporting.
  • Managing and processing pre-hire and onboarding paperwork for employees
  • Organizing and maintaining employee records
  • Organizing and maintaining records for investigations and claims
  • Perform tasks as assigned by members of the management staff.
  • Maintain and enforce policies and procedures for internal control compliance.
