Patient Transporter - Full Time - Radiology
About The Position
Provides prompt, courteous transportation services to patients and visitors. Collaborates in communication and service coordination between inpatient (IP), emergency department (ED), and ancillary services. Follows policies, procedures, and regulations to support compliance and patient safety. Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is a 294-bed, full-service acute-care hospital serving North Texas. It is certified as an Advanced Primary Stroke and Heart Attack Center by The Joint Commission and is recognized for nursing excellence and as a military-friendly workplace. The hospital provides services including Level III Trauma, NICU, and Maternal Care, and has a ninth operating room added in 2025.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Healthcare provider CPR certification required.
Nice To Haves
- One year of healthcare experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Transport patients throughout the hospital to various locations for medical procedures.
- Transport patients by wheelchair to private transportation after discharge.
- Monitor the scheduling system for transport requests and complete them promptly.
- Ensure patients are safe and comfortable during transport.
- Maintain equipment through regular safety inspections, cleaning, and storage.
