About The Position

Community Care Pediatrics Saratoga is hiring a full-time Patient Support Representative. The primary responsibility is answering phones in a high-volume call center and scheduling appointments. Hours vary within Monday–Thursday, 7:30 a.m.–6:40 p.m.; Friday, 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; and Saturday, 7:30 a.m.–11:40 a.m. The position is performed in a business casual environment. Compensation is $16.00–$21.00 per hour. Individual compensation is based on factors including work experience, qualifications, and skills. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Requirements

High school graduation or equivalent.
At least one year of work experience.
Strong computer skills.
Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with patients, family members, physicians, providers, managers, coworkers, and external customers.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.

Nice To Haves

Additional education beyond high school is desirable.
Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

Answer calls on a multiple-line phone system, forwarding them to the appropriate location or handling appointment-related calls.
Retrieve messages from the phone system and return calls to patients as needed.
Cancel and reschedule patients when necessary.
Schedule patient appointments according to office protocols for access to care.
Document verbal conversations and information in patient records accurately, legibly, and promptly.
Transfer and retrieve office phones to and from the answering service.
Answer overflow phone calls and direct them appropriately.
Process incoming telephone calls and messages according to office policy and procedure.
