About The Position

The Patient Sitter works in the Float Pool at Mercy Medical Center. This full-time, night-shift role is responsible for sitting with and observing patients and their surrounding environment to promote safety and help prevent possible injuries. The One to One Patient Observer also assists the Registered Nurse with non-nursing tasks within the scope of the observer’s training and experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained as current.

Nice To Haves

• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
