About The Position

The Patient Sitter observes patients assessed as confused, combative, at risk of harming themselves, or at risk of falling. The sitter contacts the staff nurse when concerns arise and works under the direct supervision of the nurse responsible for the patient’s care. The position is listed with 12-hour night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. at Piedmont Fayette Hospital.

Requirements

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
No experience required.
No licenses or certifications required.

Contact the staff nurse as appropriate when concerns arise.
