About The Position

Adult Medicine Clinic - Harborview has an outstanding opportunity for a Patient Services Specialist 2. Adults 18 and older can find a great doctor at the Adult Medicine Clinic at Harborview. Conveniently located in the First Hill neighborhood, the clinic offers comprehensive wellness care and treatment for acute and chronic illnesses. Internal medicine doctors, called internists, focus on prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic diseases and illnesses in adults. These practitioners may also serve as primary care physicians. Our clinic is supported by a team of professionals with expertise in mental health care, social work, chemical dependency, nutrition, clinical pharmacy, women's health issues and patient education. Our mental health care specialists provide psychiatric consultations, medication management and recommendations for continued psychiatric care.

Requirements

High school graduation or equivalent
One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience
An equivalent combination of education/experience
Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration

Responsibilities

Providing staff, providers, and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communications, including phone answering and call triaging
Scheduling provider and ancillary service appointments
Obtaining patient demographic, financial, and clinical information
Partnering with all members of the clinic team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery
Other duties as requested
