About The Position

Harborview - Hobson Place Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a Patient Services Specialist 2. This is a full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours per week) position with a day shift schedule, working Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The role is on-site with no telework. The position is conveniently located near public transportation and offers the chance to make a difference for the patients and employees served, with opportunities for career growth. Harborview’s Primary Care at Hobson Place Clinic, located in the north Beacon Hill neighborhood, provides comprehensive wellness care and treatment for acute and chronic illnesses for individuals over 18. The clinic emphasizes engaging the unhoused, those living in shelters, or those in supportive housing in primary care, but is open to all community members. The clinic is supported by a team of professionals with expertise in social work, chemical dependency, nutrition, podiatry, clinical pharmacy, and patient education, and collaborates with Seattle’s Downtown Emergency Service Center for on-site mental health care and case management services.

Requirements

High school graduation or equivalent
One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience
An equivalent combination of education/experience
Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration

Responsibilities

Providing staff, providers, and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communications, including phone answering and call triaging
Scheduling provider and ancillary service appointments
Obtaining patient demographic, financial, and clinical information
Partnering with all members of the clinic team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery
Other duties as requested
