About The Position

Join The Oregon Clinic as a full-time Patient Services Specialist in our thriving Plastic Surgery West Clinic located in Southwest Portland. This role is phone-based and requires strong customer service and communication skills. You will be responsible for checking patients in and out, managing inbound referrals, scheduling appointments, answering multi-line phones, obtaining insurance information, handling cosmetic patient inquiries, and performing additional administrative tasks. Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year work experience, preferably in a medical office is strongly preferred.
  • Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of insurance requirements, medical terminology, and office procedures.
  • Familiarity with referral processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
  • Excellent attendance and work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
  • A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Specialty care, Plastic Surgery experience is a plus!
  • Epic experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Checking patients in and out.
  • Managing inbound referrals and scheduling patient appointments.
  • Answering and directing calls on a multi-line phone system.
  • Obtaining and completing insurance information.
  • Handling incoming cosmetic patient inquiries and ensuring timely, appropriate scheduling.
  • Performing additional administrative and support tasks as needed.
